IDF Prize Distribution at KV2


Indian Development  Foundation  (IDF ) is a Non Governmental Organisation  committed  to health, education and development for the past three decades. The vision of IDF is a better India tomorrow. It plays a vital role in promoting enthusiasm, empathy, commitment and sensitivity among the younger generation for building a better society. Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2,AFS,Tambaram stands second to none in  serving the society through several  various activities for noble causes. The students of the Vidyalaya  donated Rs 3,00,671 ( Rupees three Lakhs ,six  hundred and seventy one only ) as their voluntary contribution to IDF.

 On 8th Oct, the prize distribution event was organized at the vidyalaya by IDF. Mr.Sreeram , Manager ,IDF Chennai and Mr.Sathyamurthy, Executive were present during the function. Mrs.R.Rajammal, Guide Captain and Chief Coordinator for charity  programme welcomed the gathering. Mr.Sreeram  appreciated  the students for their excellent support for the underprivileged in the society.

Three students from the Primary section and three from secondary section were given certificates, medals and prizes for their highest  contribution. K.S. Sameerc,III A,  S.Madhulika IIIA  and  A kilesh  Kuber, IV B  of the Primary section bagged the prizes. S.Preethika,VIII B,  M.Maheshwar IX D and M. Haripriya VI D of the Secondary section  bagged the prizes.

It was a source of inspiration for the students. Certificates and medals were given to all the students for their good gesture.

 Mrs.N.Prsanna Kumari, Principal was  honoured with SOCIAL ACTION  AWARD-2013. Mrs.R. Rajammal and Mrs. Padma Balakumar, Guide Captains were honoured with SOCIAL AMBASSADOR AWARDS for their continuous support to IDF in organizing  AIDS Aawareness Programme and Tuberculosis Awareness Programme involving scouts and Guides at Chennai central station and Marina beech.

Mrs.Prasanna Kumari stressed  on the significant role to be played by student community for a better tomorrow. She said  EMPATHY is the essential quality one has to develop to become a good human being.

The school received a beautiful shield for its highest contribution among the kendriya Vidyalas in Chennai Region.

Mrs.Padma Balakumar proposed vote of thanks. It was indeed a wonderful event which would spread goodness everywhere.
